We have played at the Holiday in at Stratford upon avon on a number of occasions, the functions have always been for corperate work and i do not beleive we have ever actually performed a Wedding at the venue. The ballroom is a very grand room which is capable of holding (at a guess) 500 people.
For this bacardi event the room was seperated into 2 sections which had a pipe and base drape system to seperate it with blackout cloths. In one half there was a sit down meal and in the other half were 2 stages, 1 for the band and one for us. There were a number of lighting units installed by the AV company and we were able to use there sound sytem to run our disco through. There was also a night fever sytle light up dance floow which had been quoted for by ourselves.
The band played a hour set which started at 10pm we started the music at arount 10.55pm and already had about 7 hours of music requests. The Bacardi events team had played black cassett tapes on each of the tables with a pen and asked guests to write down there musical request on the insert card in the cassett tape. It was a reall touch of nostalgal and worked really well. We had an extremley large mixture of musical styles requested from Michael Jackson, queen, LMFOA, Kings of Leon and even some really cheesy tracks like Barbie Girl.
