Wedding Disco Charingworth Manor, Chipping Campden

Venue

Charingworth Manor is located just outside of Chipping Campden on theo utskirts of the Cotswolds. We have been a recomended supplier of the hotel for almost 2 years now and have performed at the hotel for many Weddings. For most Weddings we are set up in a marquee on the patio area, but as this was a more intimate Wedding Andy and Liz chose to use the intimate function room that was there.

Equipment

We were asked to provide our standard wedding disco and Liz and Andy opted to hire one of our Parquet dance floors. They opted for a 12' x 12' Parqet Dance Floor Hire to ensure that all of the guests had enough room on the dance floor. We also place a couple of LED uplighters at the back of the Mobile Disco to add a touch of colour to the room.

The Event

We arrived on site at around 5.15pm, we were not due to start setting up the Mobile Discountil 6.00pm but we always like to arrive early. Liz and Andy chose to do their speeches at the begining of the Wedding breakfast which is becoming a more popular order of the day. As with most Wedding timings fell behind a little and meant we got access ot the function room at around 6.20pm, we are able to get quite close to the function room which means we can have a quick turn around period. I had never plauyed the chosen first dance before and it was a track called "Luckiest" by Ben Folds, we got to do the first dance at around 7.30pm. There were lots of evening guests arriving between 7.00pm and 8.00pm so the dance floor was a little empty until everyone had said hello and got a drink from the bar. Once some of the older rock and roll music started the dance floor livened up and then there was no stopping them. Ending the night on a number of sing alongs and finishing with Take That - Never Forget.
